PROGETTO RAPACI MIGRATORI

Primavera 2006

Per il terzo anno consecutivo, la LIPU/BirdLife ha coordinato il Progetto Rapaci Migratori. MEDRAPTORS ha collaborato svolgendo, in particolare, osservazioni sulle isole di Panarea e Ustica. Diverse migliaia gli individui osservati, soprattutto falchi pecchiaioli. Le osservazioni sono state svolte tra il 20 aprile e il 20 maggio 2006.

RADAR / STRETTO DI MESSINA

Tra marzo e maggio 2006 MEDRAPTORS ha collaborato allo studio sulla migrazione sullo Stretto di Messina svolto mediante radar dall' Istituto Ornitologico Svizzero . E' la prima volta che viene svolto uno studio sulla migrazione dei rapaci in Italia utilizzando questo metodo di indagine

MIGRATING RAPTORS PROJECT

Spring 2006

For the consecutive third year, LIPU/BirdLife organized the “Progetto Rapaci Migratori”. MEDRAPTORS collaborated making observations in the islands of Panarea and Ustica. Several thousands of raptors have been observed from the 20th April and the 20th of May 2006.

RADAR / STRAITS OF MESSINA

During the period march-may 2006 MEDRAPTORS joined the Swiss Ornithological Institute in their radar study on bird migration across the Straits of Messina. It was the first time that this kind of study was carried out in Italy.
